What do I do if I receive a 2100 error while activating on Mac?

A 2100 error occurs when our license is unable to be saved. This is a result of the Mac OS changing the permissions on our SilhouetteFX licensing folder during a major operating system update. To resolve the problem, please follow the instructions below.

  • Uninstall the Silhouette software by going to /Applications/SilhouetteFX/Silhouette v6.0 and running the Uninstall program.
  • Go to /Macintosh HD/Library Application Support.
  • Delete the SilhouetteFX folder.
  • Install the Silhouette software and activate it using Internet Activate.
