In Silhouette 2.3 and below, why are my painted frames disappearing?

  1. Make sure that you are not switching Session types while painting. This will blow away the painted frames.
  2. By default, the painted frames are stored along with the session. If you are saving the Session with different version names for instance, each Session that was saved will only know about the frames that were painted while that Session was active. The location of your painted frames is determined by the Paint > Path Format preference. The paint saving system in Silhouette was designed for maximum flexibility. You can configure it to work any number of ways including being able to save multiple versioned projects but have the paint saved in a central location by changing the Paint > Path Format preference. Refer to the Silhouette User Guide for more information on how to configure the Paint > Path Format.
